Depending on your consultation the prescriber may:
1. Issue you a private prescription, which can be either posted to your address or faxed to any pharmacy of your choosing with in the UK
2. Issue you a sick note based on observations during the consultation
3. Refer you to more advanced practitioners. In some rare circumstances you may need to be referred to a specialist as treatment offered by our prescribers may be inadequate for your condition.
Here at prescribe hub our health professionals will do their best to provide you with the best treatment available if clinically appropriate. Prescribers may not offer a particular medication if they feel it is not appropriate or needed for yourself. In addition we offer private prescriptions where certain medications are legally restricted on this form. In such cases we would refer you as appropriate to another professional.
Once you have filled out your forms and selected your time slot. The prescriber will use your preferred way of contact you entered to get in touch with you and commence the consultation.
Consultation time will vary depending on the presenting problem given to the prescriber. Consultation time can vary from 5-10 minutes all the way up to a maximum of 30 minutes.
- Prescribe hub services are only available for uk registered patients with a valid uk address and uk mobile number.
- You must be over the age of 18 years old.
- You must have a valid ID such as a uk driving license/provisional driving licence, passport, military ID card, uk disabled driver card, Police warrant card.
- ID must be shown during the consultation and/or picture sent to our email address.
- It is important to outline that you should NOT use prescribe hub in emergency situations.
- In such cases you should ring 999 immediately or go straight to your nearest Community accident and emergency service.
- Where you would be advised accordingly.
- We are always here to help our patients so if you are experiencing any other symptoms or have any other concerns then please book as per usual.
- Consultations are strictly confidential.
- Our website uses SSL technology encrypting thus protecting all your private information
- At present we dont but are looking to introduce this service soon to our patients.
- At the moment we do not offer this option but ensure you that our prescribers are professionals and deal with different genders on a daily basis so are experienced whatever the problem.
- At the moment we are only dealing with patients 18 years old and over.
- But we are looking to offer children clinics in the near future.

The website was initiated during the pandemic of covid 19.
Having worked in both a hospital and community settings, I became aware how patients were being left untreated or without medication. As a pharmacist, I could see how the public were struggling to get through to 111 and receive the guidance and treatment they so rightfully require.
We are all aware of the pressure the Community and 111 service are currently under. They are doing their best to manage the overwhelming number of urgent calls and demands of the public. However, the unfortunate result of this pandemic, meant that patients were not being seen till many hours later. As a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber, it was frustrating that I was unable to prescribe and supply the medications that I knew the patients were in need of. I felt helpless, knowing that I possess the medical knowledge and skills to help people in need, yet not being able to.
It is for this reason, I devised an idea to create a website that will support the public and help them gain easier access to medical advice and treatment, thus reducing the stress on the Community. This company is aimed at providing professional care and easier access to prescription only medication for those in need, and will continue such service to aid and provide support for the general public.
